Technical Lead – UAV Systems & Integration

We are looking for a highly experienced UAV Systems Integration and Product Development professional to lead end-to-end development of heavy payload drones at Marut Drones. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in product design, prototyping, testing, certification, and after-sales support with proven experience of successfully commercialized drone platforms.

1.   Experience in end-to-end product development lifecycle of UAV systems

2.   Successfully developed a drone product with at least 50 units sold commercially

3.   Strong system architecture experience for UAV platforms

4.   Hands-on experience with Heavy Payload Drones (>30 kg)

5.   Experience in VTOL platforms

6.   Expertise in R&D prototyping of UAV systems

7.   Experience with Flight Controllers – Pixhawk / Jiyi / Vector Flight Controllers

8.   Strong understanding of Flight Control Systems

9.   Hands-on experience with Ardupilot or PX4 ecosystem

10. Experience in payload integration and development

11. Experience in mechanical and electrical design for drones

12. Experience in prototype building and validation

13. Component level testing expertise

14. Final prototype development and optimization

15. Integrated system testing and validation

16. Experience in DGCA or relevant drone certification processes

17. Experience in after-sales technical support for drone products

18. Capability to own full product development responsibility

·   Lead the complete lifecycle of drone product development from concept to commercialization

·   Design and define UAV system architecture for heavy payload platforms

·   Develop VTOL and multirotor platforms as per business requirements

·   Select and integrate appropriate flight controllers and avionics

·   Perform component-level and integrated testing of UAV systems

·   Lead R&D prototyping and iterative design improvements

·   Work closely with certification teams to ensure regulatory compliance

·   Support after-sales team for technical troubleshooting and improvements

·   Prepare technical documentation related to product design and certification

·   Support tender team in defining product specifications and costing

·   Work on BOM finalization and purchase cost optimization

·   Interact with vendors and suppliers for component development

·   Drive continuous product improvements based on field feedback

·   Team Management and technical mentoring

·   Daily team reporting and task tracking

·   Weekly reporting to Management

·   Project planning and execution

·   Cross-functional coordination with production and quality teams

·   Vendor and stakeholder management

B.Tech / M.Tech in Aerospace, Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or related fields

Minimum 6–10 years of relevant experience in UAV / Drone product development
